The Wings
A Beau to Beau Romance Short Story
Sensual and Sexual, with Passion, Pleasure, and Longing
INTRO:
In the four years that they had
been apart, Dan’s and Gannon’s friendship had not waned. Reunited by either
chance or fate, it seemed as though the more things changed, the more they had
remained the same. The yearly medical convention quickly proves them wrong,
however. Things had changed, and they had changed a lot. Wishing that he could
turn back time but knowing that he cannot, Gannon is faced with a decision he
was not prepared to make.
EXCERPT:
Dan was not looking forward to the yearly medical convention, not this
year. He and a colleague were to present a grant proposal this year and
so far Gannon, his colleague, was the only one who had had time to work
on it. Gannon had assured Danny that he didn’t mind, but Dan felt that
he was letting Gannon down. Gannon knew that something had been
bothering Danny for awhile now, and didn’t want to pry into his personal
affairs.
******
Gannon was waiting for Danny at the airport,
nervously looking at his watch. Danny would be cutting it close this
time. Dan came running up to Gannon out of breath. “I’m sorry,
Gannon. You wouldn’t believe this morning. What a mess!” “Don’t
worry. I’ve got all the notes and I will prepare you on the plane.”
Dan didn’t know what he would have done without Gannon. He was always
so supportive of him, no matter what. They waited in silence for their
time to board. Dan had always thought of Gannon as a skinny guy, but
realized now that he was very well toned and slender. He had filled out
during their years apart, and nicely. He always dressed well, and today
was no exception. He was wearing a suit and tie that looked like it had
just come from the cleaners. Dan felt like a rumpled slob standing next
to him. He didn’t feel like talking this morning, and Gannon knew it.
It wasn’t until they were on the plane and had finished their drinks
that Gannon turned to him and said, “Ready to work?” “Okay, sure.”
******
Dan felt so good that he
did what Gannon said. Gannon got some hand lotion and continued to rub
until Danny was completely at his mercy. “All done,” Gannon announced.
Danny turned over and stretched again, putting his hands behind his
head. This time there was no twinge, just a warm glow. Danny smiled at
Gannon. “Thank you so much. That felt great.” “Don’t mention it,” he
said. Gannon gazed at Danny, unsmiling now, and put his hand on Dan’s
bare stomach. Something unspoken passed between them at that point.
Gannon’s hand moved, stroking Danny’s flesh. “Nice abs.” He stuck his
finger in Danny’s navel and Danny shivered. He wanted to tell Gannon to
stop fooling around with him in his drunken state, but he couldn’t. He
liked the sensations that Gannon was providing. He felt a pressure in
the front of his pants that had been there often in the past several
years that he had always been left with to take care of himself. “Does
this feel okay, Danny?” Dan nodded. Gannon began to massage the bulge
in Danny’s pants. “Looks like you may have something else that could
use some tender loving care. What you do think?” He stared at Gannon.
His mind said stop, but his mouth said, “Go ahead.”
